The Big Leap: Mitsu Chem Plast Crosses 29,900 TPA Milestone

Mitsu Chem Plast Limited reported a strong increase in profitability for the March quarter, supported by robust demand and improved operational efficiency.

The company attributed its performance to disciplined execution, better operating efficiencies, and a strategic shift toward higher value-added products. Capacity expansion also contributed to growth, with an additional 900 tonnes per annum (TPA) commissioned, taking total installed capacity to over 29,900 TPA, including output from its new Boisar facility.

Mitsu Chem Plast continues to strengthen its healthcare furniture segment under the Furnastra brand, while also expanding its export footprint across more than 17 countries. The company has further diversified its portfolio by entering the Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) segment, opening up a new avenue for growth.

In addition, it has signed a global supplier agreement with Arjohuntleigh Polska, reinforcing its presence in the healthcare sector and enhancing its international visibility for long-term expansion.
